**** all of u that have responded to this thread. I dought any of u low-life pieces of **** ****ing ****-****s actually play instruments. U all probably live in ur parents basements. A real musician would respect what greenday has done for music. One more thing Dont be giving me this **** about blink-182 Greenday has been around along time before them and sound a whole lot more punk.

OK, dude.... first off- I do play instruments like...like 5 of them... So dont tell me im not an active musican....second- I listen to some of GD's older stuff...Im listening to them right now on FUSE... and third....Im 14...Of course I live in my parents house...what? do you want me to go out and try to find some place to live?? im pretty sure they dont let 14-year-olds live by themselvs... Dont get me wrong... like GD is pretty cool....but punk is more like... Rancid or The Ramones... GD is like....alternitive Im not tryin to start **** with you...im simply speaking my mind.

why would a serious musician have respect for greenday? nothing they do is exceptional, nor technically difficult. could you elaborate on exactly what they have done for music? as i, and im sure many others, are not following you when you say that.

Greenday formed in 1990 but didn't put out there first album until late 1991
Blink 182 formed in the spring of 1992 and recorded their first EP 4 months later

They are not far off. And what has Greenday done for punk music? And I'm 15 and do live at home. Whoop dee do. Go listen to your happy punk.

And I play the guitar, piano, and bass guitar (not well though, I'm still learning)

I dont much care for green day. I like some of there stuff, but there not to great. I admit they've inspired alot of bands, but unfoirtunetly I think at least half the bands they inspired are total garbage too. Whatever, to each his own.
