yeah i love green day even though they're mainstream, i didnt say i HATE mainstream, i said mainstream and underground are different, even though green days mainstream, but thats not a fair representation of green day, because they're different then what other bands are doing

god you lot are so sad! Who cares what genre a band is? If you like their music, fine,if you don't shut the hell up? Green day are only thought of as punk because the punk has changed meaning a lot since it began. they are mainstream pop rock, so what if they think they're punk? They're doing what they want and i respect them cos they are a very successful band and they have some good songs but so what if they aren't punk? get a lifE!!!
