i get that you think illmatic is mediocre. that was just a sloppy way to go about saying it i suppose, because you inadvertently ended up saying something else beyond that, whether you intended to or not.

How anyone can not listen to "NY State of Mind" and immediately be amazed by Nas's combination of lyrical prowess and storytelling in one combined with an amazing beat is beyond me.
