Daniel Corchado from The Chasm commented that the reason
half the tracks from "Farseeing the Paranormal Abysm" were instrumental was because he was in his forties and thought the growl was ridiculous. I mention this because it wouldn't surprise me if this sentiment becomes more common as death metal musicians age, and if vocalists cease making such extensive use of the technique due to the long term effects of using it constantly.
