Meteora is a better album, though.
False to the bold statement. Maturity in a bands sound doesn't always result in better material. I think the band took a step backward with Meteora, what came after was the more logical evolution in the bands sound, Minutes To Midnight. Just the truth.

I'll tell you the main reason why i hate Linkin park.

Mike Shinoda.

If Lp had a decent rapper they probably wouldn't be so bad. I see alot of ppl here that like them out of nostalgia and i can't say i blame ya, that's why i like Blink 182.

That dude is better than a lot of rappers other's glorify though. I'd listen to him over schmucks like Lil' Wayne any day of the year.

The band that made Meteora sounds exactly the same as the band that made Hybrid Theory. I don't know what maturation you're talking about. I can't tell any progression in the band's sound.

That's true. And I have spoken of that very thing more than once. I was speaking though of them being older when they made Meteora. They toured heavily, experienced other bands that had been touring before Linkin Park were even a band, things like that. Meteora did not show any of those things. It sounded like Hybrid Theory, but it wasn't as good. They took none of what they learned from the time the released Hybrid Theory, their touring, and didn't apply those things to their approach to making an album.

That's what I took away from my first listen of Meteora when it came out.

One thing, i don't know why, it doesn't even matter how hard you try, Mike Shinoda sucks.

Tsk tsk, man you don't see it. You really think Fred Durst is better than Mike? Anything off of that Fort Minor album is better than what Fred Durst has done. You put those two head to head for a rap off or whatever, all Fred would do is use profanity like it was clever and throw jabs at Mike's mom the entire time, there's just no creativity when it comes to Fred Durst, like none. Mike flows, he's fluent, Fred is all over the place and sloppy.

Hey man wake up and smell the concrete
Strange to see you've changed like the LP
Could be identity crisis but I can't buy this
Reality bites but that's what life is
Pitiful you, your hideous behavior
Hate what God gave ya, fakin all the flava
Artificial minds seekin out the new trends
Get in where you fit in
Quit thinkin like a has-been diggin in my culture
Let me let your punks know I'm an old school soldier.

LIMP BIZKIT LYRICS - Counterfeit

That's what Mike Shinoda is.. a counterfeit.

Look at the end of the day, Mike Shinoda and Fred are both just horrible rappers neither of them can compare to Zack de la Rocha so don't expect me to defend Fred too hard, im just saying as awful as he is he's still a better rapper than Mike.

But those lyrics are horrible. Mike is still better. We both don't even care but we keep talking about it. Wtf.
