You just gotta go with the flow, man. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...yfcX_CkwfLWIf4

I find this forum extremely friendly, and I consider most of the regular members as part of my extended family. Sometimes they have helped me get through bad times (even if they haven't actively realised it) and vice versa. It's not a perfect world, and to be honest, if I were a mod I'd take offence at your contention "more needs to be done". Who are you to tell them how to do their jobs?

At any rate, for the record, I have no problem with anyone here and think they're all friendly and fair. Except Urban. I hate him.

Only kidding, Urban!

I don't care if a non-sensitive clique is happy with the status quo. Clearly, if most visitors were satisfied, the site would be more active. I am operating on the presumption that the purpose of the site is to maximize legitimate traffic (within the servers' limits). I do not appreciate diversionary tactics like telling me I should change to make a difference, when I don't post much, others are the ones who set the tone, and the problems (like under-enforced rules) predate my visits to the site.

It's not a diversionary tactic, it's an honest response. You've been a member here for almost two years, if you want change try starting with yourself. You'll notice that the only other person who is siding with you in this conversation actually practices what she preaches, maybe you should follow her example.

Meh, I get what you're saying Sopsych. There isn't much actual music discussion going on most of the time, that's true.
But I'll have to agree with Janzoon this time. As Michael Jackson said 'if you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change'
You're complaining that others aren't contributing enough when you yourself say you rarely use the site. A little hypocritical don't you think.
I mean sure I've had niggles about a lack of musical discussion participation before but if there's anything I feel I need to address about music I usually make the effort to actually come out and say it.

(37 members and 498 guests)

37 active members on the forum right now, and almost 500 guests looking at the site. Not sure what you're saying in terms of activity, seems to be a lot of that here.

Well I can can tell you one thing, I'm not part of the non-sensitive clique, or any clique on MB as a matter of fact because...

Hah! What? Do you work for Advameg, Inc. or Crawlability?
If not, I have no idea why you would arrive at such a misguided presumption.

No. There used to be a section for that but it didn't work so they got rid of it. Now we don't allow self promotion right off the bat - contribute for a few months first and then we'll listen.

Can someone please delete the rude reply to me from last night? That's precisely the kind of behavior the site needs to crack down on.

As for activity, a few dozen people logged in and a few hundred total viewers (which no doubt includes search engines and spam-bots) is very low compared with what other major-topic forums get.

My ally on this doesn't seem to post much more than I do nor start better threads, and her lead by example doesn't seem to have helped.
