Default Why punish the members with rel="nofollow" in their signatures.

I post on 80 different music forums and the one's with rel="nofollow" code in the member signatures always fail sooner or later. I understand stopping link spammers in the posts with rel="nofollow" but i don't see why it would be in signatures for members that post here.

Since signatures contribute to google results, spam linkbacks in signatures need to be prevented too. Hence rel='nofollow' should apply to signatures too. In this way, a person who registers and doesn't post, yet inserts links in their signatures will not benefit at the end of the day. This is why I remove sig links from spammers even after I've banned them.

Well that's my understanding anyway.

And you should read the promotion forum rules before posting - we don't allow website advertising.
