So i went in an unsubscribed myself. I'm going to try and delete my post, then unsubscribe, and how it stays off the radar.

Why can't we make a prerequisite for voting in a poll to have made a post in the thread?

^ Yeah it would be nice if people had a common sense to post beside voting, but I don't see how we can make them do it. Unless you're thinking of automatic, built in prerequisite. I don't know if that's possible in this forum. Then again, there are all those fun polls that don't have anything to do with their threads, they're just in jokes. There are also polls in album clubs, compilation thread etc., where posting why you've picked an option is unnecessary. The best solution is preventing them from bumping the threads. We'll see if this latest request will be successful.

Resurrection bump!

Now that so many threads are popping up from the grave, and being locked, how's about we appeal to the rational side of the Admin and request this brilliant suggestion again!@!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. I was beginning to think there was some kind of malfunction in the forums when all kinds of polls started randomly popping up. Now I know why.

Easy enough to look at the "last post" details, you would think.

Would it at least be possible to figure out what jackhole keeps voting in dead polls, and then give them a warning? I usually hate the idea of banning people who aren't obviously being a douche on purpose, but this is starting to bug me about as much as not rewinding videos at the video store used to. And the penalty for that should have been death, so I think I'm being pretty nice.

The person who bumped all the polls was one of the few trolls who joined the site sometime on Wednesday. They've been banned, but the odds of fixing this problem ar epretty slim. It's incredibly frustrating, but them's the breaks.
