I think it's pretty interesting that boobs thinks my comment was smug. It was actually sincere, I do hope he goes and lives his life. He sounds like he has some good stuff going on and I hope he continues along that route, whatever epithets he chooses to hurl my way. He used to do the same thing to me while I was busy sticking up for him in the mod cave so, unfortunately, it's pretty much expected.

Also, Tumor, please keep in mind that he is banned from posting on this site so please stop enabling him by acting as his proxy here. Thanks

Unfortunately, as much as I liked Boo Boo, this sort of confirms the point that had he come back.. things would have been no different. I was looking forward to his return, but it seems he just can't let go.

I've made mistakes with the tones in your post before and it didn't seem sincere to me either, personally. Maybe I'm just bad at reading tone over the internet...

Well, like I just said to Buzzov*en I know the intent of my own comment so it's actually not a matter of opinion. I'm unclear on why you think I'd lie about it.

I think it was cause Janz stuck it in right after "granting" boo boo's wish (which, let's be honest, boo boo didn't really want granted and didn't expect to be granted) so the timing of it made it seem a little smug and inappropriate

Janzsoon was not being smug, he's one of the most sincerest people I know on MB.

I have no idea what boo boo wanted or didn't want. At the time it seemed like his comments were intended either as some kind of resignation or as some kind of throwing down of the gauntlet. So either way it made sense to permaban him. Either way, my comment was intended as best wishes on him moving on to bigger and better things in life. Sorry it wasn't written as well as it could have been I guess, but it is what it is.

As a moderator, I guess my opinion might count for something so I'll add it even though the thread is locked.

I like Boo Boo; he was a core ingredient in our little prog community and contributed a lot to the forums. I believe he loves the site and our community. But, I acknowledge that his old self is too out of control for Musicbanter. Considering how many chances he got, I support the decision to tempban him although I feel the duration was longer than what I'd given him.

What I'd really like to see is a changed Boo Boo coming back to the forums and behaving according to the rules. Although I figure that was unlikely at best, I'm sad to see this thread has made a turn that makes it seem like an impossibility.
