Okay, from your post it sounded like you were no longer an active poster at the time, not just on sabbatical. I guess you must be the blaring exception to the rule. The forum had to search you down during your off time and beg you to come police the rest of us peasants. How grateful we are for your presence. [/SARCASM]

I have no problem with any of the mods. Hell, I've never even talked to half of you. Why we need a dozen mods, half of whom are basically n00bs is beyond me, but who am I to judge, right?

Just a question, how long were you a member before you became a moderator?

Soooooooo... Nothing.

So it means she was chosen because of her skills and not because of her popularity.

Which mods are female and which are male?

Just wondering, especially duga

someonecompletelyrandom 05-24-2011 09:00 PM

duga is a male.
I'm a male.
Janszoon is a male.
Freebase is a male.
SATCHMO is a male.
Mojopinuk is a male.
Burning Down is female.
Pedestrian is female.
Vanilla is female.
Nonsubmissive Wife is female.

I hope I'm not forgetting anybody...

I agree. I think that we need a sticky that shows which members are banned, why, and for how long. Maybe even have a "History" section on a member's profile showing their banning, previous usernames, and other pertinent information.

This would be pretty cool,

I'd be down to write some psychological profiles for each member.

"Anyone but me." (Is that what you want to hear?)
I'm not trying to be condescending, but I'm kind of being forced to I feel like. In a forum with tens of thousands of user, I don't see the necessity to mod someone who has only been here a few months.

I try to be as transparent with things as possible, as do the rest of the mods I think. Anytime I've been asked about a ban, including a few times by you, I've been more than happy to answer the questions. But one thing you need to understand is that sometimes it's in nobody's best interest to air every little bit of dirty laundry in public.

That's crazy.

For the record, I completely disagree with making information regarding punitive action public.

Dirty, you stated in your video (an entertaining watch, by the way :D ) that you feel sometimes the MB mods are too harsh on new members. To quote you "not everybody has been on a forum for 10 fuckin years." People will make mistakes and they will act stupidly and they WILL be banned or infracted for it. Many times this is due to their inexperience with how to behave on a forum, sometimes it's just because they're a prick, but either way - we want to help reform people so that they can become valued members, not humiliate them just so you lot can satisfy your curiosity. Even if they've broken the rules, they have the right to privacy - whether you like it or not.

Get over it.

It doesn't matter how long you've been here or what your post count is. If you're better suited for the job than an older member, you get the job.

That's it.
