He takes his writing very seriously. I suspect he didn't want this site associated with some form of online portfolio. He's on RYM still and since I'm "friends" with him, I see his reviews all the time. He is very serious about his writing on there. Sometimes I feel he's not even reviewing the music but trying out for some Murakami contest.

If true I'm sorry to hear that: I had a few good conversations with him: photography, the environment, and one in which he tutored me in rap music.
