I prefer hot women pulling me off.

In this day and age, hot women can most definitely have beards.

I like beer presents
|
I actually got a beer present recently. Pretty good, especially these:
https://www.paulaner.com/sites/defau..._033l_glas.png Like most German beer, they're inoffensive. But that sweet, caramely, well rounded flavor is just divine. Would definitely down a few more of these. |

We need more Frownlands

Idk about that but if I had a few clones I'd start a really sick band.

I'm serious
I think I've finally started to get the essence of Frown The world is a joke. I wanna be the punchline. I wanna stick a saxophone reed up my ass and fart out an album. Because I can. Because **** you. I'm not drunk. You're drunk Try to get people to understand the most basic concepts, and they'd rather listen to themselves masturbating over a manniquin. Logic is such a fat ass, while convenience is a sexy hedgehog Gotta go faaaasssttttt |

Blogs
Hey, what's up with the option to set up blog being disabled?
|
There's no blogging.
|
Curious, I wonder if that was ever an active feature. There's some kind of a remnant of an idea in the user CP.
|
If you want to blog, start a journal. It's more or less the same thing. And no longer relies on entries being authorised by the mods.

But as Trollheart noted, the journals section is basically like blogging so if that's what you're looking to do, that's the way to do it. |
Having so recently resurfaced, I wanted to make a comment.
One of the reasons I left so many years ago was basically the points brought up in the first post here. I had made several requests to owners/Yac that they do stuff like update forum software. I'm pretty sure I even offered to do it for them for free, although I did realize it was unlikely they'd give me the logins. Anyways, I did my share of crying about this but was told that the meager profits MB generated meant that updates etc. didn't make sense from a cost perspective. Also, they were afraid of unintentionally breaking things. It pissed me off because what they're basically doing is exploiting the community, us fine guys and gals. We generate the content that will show up in google searches or otherwise pull people in and generate ad-clicks that doesn't just come from bots. I didn't think a BBPress update was too much to ask. In a way, if you care too much about MB in its current state, you'll suffer for that. It's sad how they run it that way. The logical conclusion to the problem for me at that time was an organized exodus from musicbanter. It's easy peasy. Give me or someone else here who's a little tech savvy half an hour or two and we'll have musicbanter 2.0 up and running on a new domain. Possibly a patreon or something similar could be set up to cover costs, although it can be done quite cheap (hosting isn't that expensive and there's lots of free forum software). People could bring over the content they wanted to preserve. I suggested this emphatically, but the idea didn't catch. Maybe some saw it as mutiny, although I feel that loyalty to the community could align well with a migration to someplace else. Staying here is loyalty to advameg and what have they done the last X years to deserve it? So that has a lot to do with why I left in the first place. Coming back, I see the same old BBPress and I guess we're all lucky it's still browser compatible. Still, it's been nice being back. While I still think the community here SHOULD migrate to something else, I won't bring it up again unless it's on topic  |
