Phew. I hate the idea of 'pretentious' music.

Anywho, back on topic. TWDY is starting recording on a new album. They're the only crescendo-post-rock band I can fathom.

Pretty much, they're the only guys still doing it really (that I know of). Everyone else's slowly moved away from that, especially Sigur Ros(sp.) and God Is An Astronaut.

There's about 432948987 post rock bands out there today that all sound eerily similar, mainly because they don't dare to venture beyond the quiet-loud-quiet-louder-quiet formula.

Yeah, judging by the recent Riceboy Sleeps output, I'm expecting an ambient drone fest... and couldn't be more excited :D
