A short post-rock(ish) song of my own...
This is a track I made recently. It has a lot of Sigur Ros elements in it, though it is a very short song. It's really simple in almost every way possible, but, that's what I was going for. I love simplicity in music, I find it beautiful for some reason. I'd love to hear any thoughts you may have, whether they be good or bad.
I do want to note that I'm actually a guitar player, though, my guitar playing isn't really present on this song. I'll probably post a song in the future to actually feature that, since thats the biggest main stay in more or less everything else I do. Anyways, I hope you enjoy, and thank you for listening. I've just had a second listen and like it better. I actually really like the general melody and the notes of the piano. The rest of the music and sounds are just so soft and flowing and I think the piano becomes a bit block-ish about halfway through the song. Like it could use some damper pedal or something. The piano at the beginning, before this, I really like though. Because as you said, it's simple, but really pretty.
I didn't mean to say outrightly that I didn't like it, well done because it is really nice! |

There is the seed of a great song there. The melody is spot on regarding a Post Rock template but it sounds like the beginning of a track and not fully formed. Is the piano riff the songs basis?
