People can envision space (and its vastness) in different kinds of ways though, so I think you seem to be limiting your view to just your own conception of it. And if a piece is given a celestial title there is normally a reason for that. Many pieces of course from the second half of the 20th century were inspired by space because of the exploration of it at the time.

I didnt realize it at the time of posting but Hovaness 6th symphony is titled "Celestial Gate".
