Default The Band

Is anyone here familiar with these guys?

Definately one of my favorite artists, and so hard to classify. Absoltely brilliant, beautiful songs.

The Band is amazing.

Atlantic City & The Weight wins x 10.

I like the band somewhat. Any reccomendations of songs from them that aren't exactly the popular ones. Thanks.

Ophelia, The shape I'm In and Ole Dixie are all great; all three are part of the Last Waltz concert which is fantastic on DVD.

Get Up Jake is one of my favourites - its an outtake from the band album
the Last Waltz versions of Up On Cripple Creek, The
Night They Drove Old Dixie Down and The Weight are brilliant too

my top 5 of their songs(apart from those ^^^) are:

1:King Harvest
2:I Shall Be Released
3:It Makes No Difference(on the last waltz)
4:Tears Of Rage
5:Yazoo Street Scandal

has anyone heard Sip The Wine from Rick Danko's first album after The Band. I dont think its out on cd but i got the lp after i heard him show martin scorsese a bit of it on the last waltz. id reccommend it to anyone if they can get their hands on it

i heard somewhere aswell that robbie robertson is working on a new album wth eric clapton
