i think hes definitaly country maybe a couple of songs arent but he is country singer

hah one of my teachers (a hardcore music enthusiast)plays his music during class and last week he started playing johnny cash and the girl i sit next to said "oh god i hate country" and im like "dude he is far from ****ing country" the dude's way to cool to be country

He played both kinds of music; country AND western.

Accually I'd say, country, rockabilly, folk, some gospel.

Even though I hate most country, I LOVE Johnny Cash. But we are both from Arkansas... whateva. His **** is tighter than an emo kid's pants. He did some great remakes on American IV, and his old songs have some great sound too. Him and Willie Nelson are the only country I like. Oh, Hank Williams Sr. too, of course.

Drag: I doubt you could really call him Bluegrass.
