LOL! Google translate is hilarious though, sometimes. Last week my boyfriend tried to translate a sentence from Serbian to English, and it turned into a completely different phrase. I guess its good for one or two words.

It works okay for getting the gist of things I think. I've sometimes used it to translate music reviews from other languages and am able to understand what the author was saying, even if it's often translated in awkward ways.

Sorry to bump this thread a bit but no one mentioned Pereza, one of the most profilic pop-rock bands of the new century. They don't always produce great work, and some of it is a bit repetitive, but I find these songs to be quite legendary...the lyrics are a bit dirty, if you're into that and you understand Spanish slang.

Someone mentioned Basque music also in this thread, but as far as I can tell no one actually posted any. Phenomenal language, and artists. Check out this song in the cryptic Basque language, translated to "Moon" in English, by the famous Ken Zazpi. Beautiful, sad track.

If anyone knows any other songs in Basque, let me know, I'd love to expand my Basque language collection. I spent two summers in Bilbao and I'm still a newb!

^ We mentioned Pereza here, at the other thread.

Yeah, I like Princesas also, but I'm not a huge fan of Estrella Polar. Thanks for the heads up...should I have posted these in that thread, or does it no matter considering that these are artists from Spain?
