though at this thread we use to talk about specific styles from Spain. For instance, some time ago I started a Historical review, from the Middle Ages to the present. I couldn't post more examples due to lack of time, but next week I'll continue with Sephardic music.

You could check out El Sueno de Morfeo. THey have a poppy sound. If you like Juenes you'd prob like them.

Kalimba is another artist you might like. Sola male singer. I really want to say he's from Mexico butttt I'm not fully sure.

CHeck out Silvio Rodriguez. He is a kick ass guitarist/singer from Argentina. His song "Ojala" is really great. There is an awesome live version out there.

Also, Nelly Furtado uses Spanish in her songs at times.

For real, Silvio Rodriguez from Argentina? He is from Cuba and most of his songs are related to the cuban revolution. His genre is called Trova cubana, and he is, indeed, one of the most representative artists you can find out there.

Oh, and about the Ska band... The best is Ska-P, they are a Spanish Ska - Punk band, just amazing.

Loving this new album by Selenta, Latin Piece of Soul. The songs are sung not only in Spanish, but some English, Creole and Yoruba. If you enjoy the sound of Fania Records Latin/Spanish music from the late 60's through early '70s, this album should please you. Still it's modern sounding with the band's own fine brand of songwriting on 12 of the 14 tracks.
