Default French Music?

I'm looking for some up-beat, modernish French music.
Does anybody know the names of any french musicians/groups/songs?

Thanks

aside from a few bands [which are more than probably not what youre looking for], everythings like, linkinpark/atreyu, kinda not so fun .
OH, actually, i found someone called capucine [ithink] which i loved, but never been able to find more than 2 songs & now ive lost the bloody place i found it, so if anyone has any & feels like sharing id be hella grateful.

^ for Amanda Woodward, and I like Okploide, it's French punk/ska. French is the perfect language for this.

Oh, thankyou. I'm not so keen on these so far though, unfortunately ;( I'm after something more up-beat, fresh and french-sounding. Possibly pop. Not sure..

The sort of music that would be good to listen to as you tootled down a french country road in a bright yellow convertable renault megane with sunflowers on the back seat..

France Gall. 60's french girl pop. Insanely catchy.
