Hopefully not, you always bring a bit of comic relief to threads such as these.

Oh, well let me change the word 'nuking' in my post to 'attacking'.

There, now you can't avoid offering a counter point by saying I misquoted you.

Letting North Korea run wild with their poulation isn't any better. Sanctions wouldn't help the state of things mich, so the only way I see is attack. I'm not talking conqering them, just giving North Korea's leaders a little scare.

What? You're an idiot.

Korea is not running wild with its population. Sure, they're poor, but there is no genocide there.
Attacking them would cause thousands more deaths than would happen without our intervention.

Next, we wouldn't dream of attacking North Korea. They have nuclear deterrant.

Destroying a few military bases would give them a good enough scare to convince them to negotiate, but be mild enough to not start a nuclear war, or cause many deaths.

Oh really, and you are willing to risk the earth on your belief that blowing up their military bases wouldn't start nuclear war?
That is why you will never be in charge of anything.

So what do you propose we do? Sit tight while basic human rights are being violated all over the world.

So what do you propose we do? Send our military forces into every 3rd world country, which would require a draft and still spread our military so thin that we could not defend our own country?

Military action isn't even a very good way to improve the people's conditions (look at all the civilians dead in Iraq). Holy **** that parenthases was on topic!!

No, but North Korea is hardly a third-world country anymore.

Ok, what is your point?

My point was that people living in 3rd world countries are having their rights violated all the time, so by your logic we should go into every country that isn't as well off as ours (even though we are not the #1 country in the world when it comes to quality of life, i think we're like 13).
