I haven't a clue what point you're trying to make.

It's how the right feels with the fervent culture war and events such as the recent Sanders thing will mobilize red voters very close to primaries.

Trump's base is what it is. Angry, racist, Wonder Bread White Merica. They ****ing love his stupid rhetoric because they are, well, ****ing stupid.

Dems have been winning in places that are unheard of recently. And the numbers in the primaries leading up to this fall are overwhelmingly blue. SHS is a pimple on the ass of this whole ****ing charade of a presidency.

Dems win back the house, and maybe, maybe, even the Senate. You heard it here first folks.

I didn't say Trump supporters, I meant the right as a whole. Go ahead and deny the effects of bitter partisanship though.

Remember any other similarly confident predictions you made in the past few years?

Didn't do any such thing. Nice projection though.

Plenty of dumb redneck Trump fans but if you think his base isn't at all comparable to the Dems' base then I think you need to take a step back and ask yourself if you're not just demonizing the other side for the sake of partisanship. Plenty of dumb Democrat voters, except they're not nearly as motivated to vote for their non-existent boy.

They still don't have anyone to give a **** about besides Bernie Sanders and like Frown said, Sanders also mobilizes the right while not really mobilizing older Dems. Unless Democrats can get their **** together, grow a pair, and start coming out with platforms that aren't just Republican-lite then any victories are gonna be pretty tepid and/or shortlived.

Chalking up fear from an attack on identity (an effect of bitter partisanship, fyi) as "well people who like trump are just DUM!" reads a bit like you are doing said thing.

I see insanely enthusiastic support and excitement for a blue wave. I also see an equally motivated white conservative paranoia mounting directly at that wave. The country is too divided, I simply don't have any faith in one side or the other pulling through.

Serious Question: Why do you care?

The Batlord 06-26-2018 05:34 PM

I think the best (i.e. most entertaining) development would be Trump getting JFK'd by a crackpot radical. I just want to see what everyone does when partisanship starts picking up rocks.

It creates a political climate that makes legislation either more extreme or too vague to be enforced. The discourse normalizes emotion over understanding or logic. I think it's definitely making people more stupid and of course I'm not into the (slippery slope) idea of civil war.

Is there a part of you that wants a civil war?
