It's not generally a good idea. When they go literal and actually resort to violence, it doesn't fit into a still democratic model. The less literal version of "bash the fash", I mind less. Fascists aren't just a political interest group like any other. They must not be allowed to take hold. Their views have no merit. It's only out of a sense of decorum and in the name of the principles of a free and equal society that they should be given a long leash.

Just not too long... I wouldn't do what they do. But I'd be lying if I said I don't kind of think some of it is good on some level.

This is why I mentioned branding, since they're very rarely actually going after fascists in the US.
