I never understood the paid suspension thing. How is that a punishment, when you're still getting paid?? It's no different than a vacation.

Paid suspensions are definitely vacations.
But if that goes on a record that future employers may consider, they maybe it's a negative thing. Not sure. I don't work in the public sector.

I don't know if the paid suspension is supposed to be punishment. I think it's just a way of putting them on hold while the case is being investigated.
