It may be common if you're Hispanic, not Irish.

An Irishman calling himself "Beto" and speaking Spanish to pander to the Hispanics while running against a Cuban named "Rafael Cruz" is tantamount to McCain coming out in a FUBU jersey with a bucket of fried chicken while runnning against Obama to pander to the blacks.
