I hope they keep shaming these girls so unplanned babies keep getting aborted. This white trash bitch should know they don't give a **** about secret sex and abortion they just want to keep it swept under the rug. Now she's going to destroy that beautiful 18 year old pussy by giving birth instead of getting an abortion like any normal middle class girl would do. No one wants her to waste that young pussy. They just don't want her bringing the ghetto to the suburbs.

Sorry, BIG difference. I didn't start out poor with no real opportunites in life. I'm just trying to hold on to what I have. Worst case, I sell my home and take the equity and move somewhere where the cost of living is much, much lower.
San Diego county is damn expensive especially living in a townhouse community with a golf course view.

In regards to the welfare conversation earlier,

I agree with this quote.
Quote:

So the problem is not the number of people on food stamps; it’s that companies pay wages so low that their employees qualify for them. It is a problem that Congress and the White House can rectify, not by cutting spending, but by raising the minimum wage, updating the overtime-pay rules and instituting paid sick leave — for starters.
Also the narrative that safety net programs encourage laziness is bull****.

Quote:

President Trump’s budget plan would destroy the food stamp program, on the pretense that it discourages work. That’s nonsense, because most adult recipients either work or are unable to do so because of age or disability. A more plausible explanation is that cutting food stamps would help to offset the cost of huge tax cuts for the rich.

If you say so. You can act humble all you want, but there are plenty of equally privileged people that wouldn't know what to do with themselves and end up ****ed if they were in your position. It's partially a state of mind thing, deal with it.

Possibly, but I don't think I'm the reason she's that way. Maybe she's just a kinky freak.

I think you naively underestimate the perils of downward social mobility. Many a former rich kid has died in a gutter.

Bankruptcy doesn't pay off your mortgage. (I explored that option) And at 57 years old my experience doesn't amount to jack ****. People simply don'y hire people who are creeping up on retirement. Linda has decades of experience in worldwide logistics and was making about $60K and can't find anything but minimum wage working a ****ty retail job.

My mom was a psych nurse for 35 years, and since she moved she has not been able to find anything close because kids fresh out of college have degrees that weren't necessary when she started.. education > experience nowadays. Now she's a school aid assisting teachers with the disabled kids in their classes. She makes more then minimum wage but it was a huge step down.

Elph be droppin the biggest boogeymonster logic bombs.

OccultHawk 06-03-2017 09:28 PM

Damn

35 years of experience

And nursing, too

You would expect that to be one of the most secure.

Without knowing all the details it feels like people worship youth.

That's a very depressing story but all those years in nursing should have some kind of decent retirement, I hope.

My aunt and uncle declared bankruptcy when they were barely in debt when they were in their early twentys. They said all it ended up doing for them is giving them ****ty credit for years. They are just getting out of the hole they dug themselves into back then.

OccultHawk 06-03-2017 10:16 PM

Well of course bankruptcy doesn't pay off your mortgage lol

blank if they were barely in debt why did they file bankruptcy?

no **** they're not going to get decent loans after that - it's not about the bankruptcy it's the refusal to pay interest - if they're just digging out of a hole it's because they got back in debt with astronomical interest and never accumulated any wealth - and if they're headed for retirement they're headed for a new hole

It's amazing to me how many people act like Israel shouldn't exist. Even when a common stated goal of Palestine is genocide against Israel this culture of forgiveness of all things Islamic prevails.

Lisnaholic 06-06-2017 05:49 AM

I'm sorry about the dilema that Chula's wife and Occult's mum are in; experienced people who are now the wrong age or insufficiently qualified to find suitable work. In fact, a similar thing happened to me in England; despite experience, I was squeezed out by the up-coming generation who had picked up more computer skills at college.

The sad fact is that in a saturated job market, companies will prefer younger people. In general, they will have more energy, fewer sick days and will be more amenable to company policy, regulations, etc. Older guys have a reputation for being prickly and set in their ways.

Also, governments prefer it that way. If there is going to be an unhappy, unemployed class, older people will cause less trouble; middle-aged people aren't likely to go rioting in the streets and smashing shop windows - however much they may feel like it.

So yeah, we are the sad statistics of modern life - but then, it is essential that young people have jobs. After all, if there is one thing more soul-destroying than being old and unemployable, it's being young and unemployable.

EDIT: What happened to Ewan McColl's dad in the 1930s:-

PS Boohoo about Palestine. I heard they're getting ****ed.
