I definitely felt it. It was ****in terrible looking for a job in 2009. I was out of work for almost a year. Sustained myself through crime and blind luck.
Plus I lived in South Florida where the only blue collar jobs are in construction. The housing market crashed and the construction jobs vanished. People who used to make 15-20 dollars an hour were forced to work retail and service jobs for 8-9 dollars an hour.
I was pulled out of school and told to get a job back then and I struggled real hard too. I think it was mostly because I had no clue what I was doing at the time. I just read that Utah was almost immune to the effects.

what's funny is it's just like a rephrasing of telling liberal arts students to get a different degree
but when it's liberals telling coal miners maybe don't work in coal it sucks anyway...
I digress
Didn't they find that the whole coal miner jobs rhetoric of the 2016 election was invented by Russian troll accounts in Meuller's report?

This is my home town in FL. Notice they said the gang members aren't targets of ICE, but that they were targeting undocumented immigrants in crimes.
Why? I know why from memory and experience.
There's a sizeable Guatemalan population in lake Worth that are mostly day laborers. They are the people who hop into the backs of trucks to go do landscaping or something like that off the books for the day.
Because they're illegal, they have no bank accounts. They get paid in cash. And because they're illegal, they can't call the police. So they are easy pickings for a robbery.
A lot of the times it isn't even a simple armed robbery. Instead, they beat the guy unconscious without warning and then run his pockets.

Does your experience with social constructs give you any clue as to the pictured person’s race? I know it might be hard because it’s just a picture. I’m sorry to ask but I don’t see race. I’ve managed to socially deconstruct.
