I'd much rather have her hire me to install a new water heater. I know that's taboo around these parts though.

Socialism is when the government ceases the means of production for redistribution and communism is when the people share the means of production.

I know that. Are you of the opinion that capitalism and socialism are the only 2 systems to ever exist?

one side is under the threat of starvation and homelessness, the other side simply isn't

virtually no agreements or contracts are ever equal sided whether you're talking business or otherwise. By default one party usually has more leverage than the other.

it's not impossible but more times than not one party has more leverage. It's sorta a hell of a coincidence if both parties have equal leverage.

Look at marriage for example. If you go in without a prenupt the less wealthy party has way more economic leverage in terms of threatening divorce. If you go in with a prenupt the scenario is reversed.

Or even in a regular relationship.. one party is often more invested in it than the other. They are the one with less leverage in that relationship. I'm sure you can relate.

Thanks, bud. If you ignore the actual planet and just concentrate on irrelevant comparisons that obfuscate important context it really makes everything make sense.

You can either make an interesting counter argument or I don't care what you have to say about it

thank you

Honestly I believe it though

It seems unlikely that the power dynamics between any 2 parties in any agreement will be completely equal

Obviously can and will happen... But not most of the time imo

I mean I'm kind of with elph on the incest question, if there is no breeding there is less of a problem - but parent/child relationships are 100% always creepy af and there's no way to have real consent in a relationship with such a ****ed up power dynamic. But where would the world be without inbreds? Do you really want to live in a world without the royals and/or pugs?
