Facebook Apologizes After Its AI Labels Black Men As 'Primates'

This is not Facebook's first time in the spotlight for major technical errors. Last year, Chinese President Xi Jinping's name appeared as "Mr. S***hole" on its platform when translated from Burmese to English. The translation hiccup seemed to be Facebook-specific, and didn't occur on Google, Reuters had reported.

However, in 2015, Google's image recognition software classified photos of Black people as "gorillas."

I ****ing knew it! AI has progressed to the point where it's now indistinguishable from humans - it's even become racist! :laughing:

Incidentally, we're all primates. I have to laugh when our Archbishop is officially referred to as Primate of All Ireland! :rofl:

The bit about the Chinese premier was pure class though.
