The whole talk about getting laid schtick definitely speaks to a need for male validation that he clearly isn't getting.

America voted for a President-bro and now they got a Supreme court justice-bro. I find it in keeping with American values. Goodbye abortion rights! Sorry-not-sorry to all the women that voted for Trump! They must be going through what Brexiters are going through now. Wooops! Gonna be fun seeing what happens in the next 30 years or so with a right leaning Supreme court.

I feel like I'm going to get followed for posting this, but I am curious about what Kavanaugh's security is like. I could see something unfortunate happening.

Both parties have massive amounts of baggage. But at the end of the day, the Democrats scare a lot of independents + non-committed people off....because nobody really wants higher taxes, yet all of the things that the non-moderates want to do would end up increasing the tax burden on the middle class and above wayyyy beyond anything the Republicans could come up with. At least that's the case in America.
|
Yeah, higher taxes are terrible. That would mean maybe universal healthcare and better public services, why the fuck would anyone want that. Solidarity with other humans is icky. This is not what America is about! You want socialism movie to Canada, or Europe or some other bolshie place!

Well then maybe you shouldn't vote for the guy increasing defense spending.
|
If we are going to address a nation's money problems, we need to address how they get that money. Not from taxes, but from loans taken out from private banks, at interest. Our borrowing problems > our spending problems. Until we abolish the private banks and let nations print their own debt-free currency, we are all fucked. Ask JFK and Lincoln how private bankers feel about that topic.

Is there anything word reading on what Merit is talking about that isn't by cranks?

But again, really, this is absolutely not what America is about and it's unlikely it ever will be. The idea of America is about the opportunity for some to get filthy rich, not about everyone being moderately well off. That's why it's crazy successful, because it's liberal capitalism at its worst. And why it's one of the most unequal societies in the world. But fair play, you want a different society, move to a different country with different ideals. Like Sweden, or Denmark or communist China. :D |
When it takes an entire year to deal with a single piece of paper filed with the IRS, forgive me if I don't have perfect confidence in any sort of system where even more power becomes consolidated in Washington D.C.

So yah bro, I totally get what you mean, I think you're fine the way you are. It's just the best you can do. The other option is communism. Like Venezuela. I mean look what happened there. Make America great again! :yeah: |

Also, spare me the buzzwords. It's a real disservice to actual race and gender-equality issues. The human condition isn't pretty. For those without entrepreneurial aspirations, I'd highly recommend moving to Denmark. The quality of life is good there, but you will never have even a snowball's chance in hell of starting a serious business there because you'll be taxed to oblivion long before you ever reach profitability. Assuming you can even find a decent angel investor or VC firm: they tend to be a way harder sell over there than the ones I've dealt with domestically. Until someone comes up with something better that works at scale, I'm fine with a more finely tuned version of capitalism. Knock the megacorporations down a peg or two and 90% of the problem is solved. Once they are broken up and the market is less squashed in, then you can create more incentives for smaller companies at the local level and watch those job opportunities breed like rabbits. |
ICP attacked Limp Bizkit on stage.

I was the most shocked at how awful Fred Durst looks now. He always looked like **** but at least he fit the image of the band. Now he just looks like a meth head trucker.

I didn't know ICP were two white dudes. Shows how much I know (or care) about rap. :/

Damn, that limo crash in New York.... all 18 inside the limo and 2 bystanders all killed.
Can't imagine what it was like for the first responders. Brutal. For the record the Ford Excursion limo has a passenger capacity of only 14. https://americanlimousinesales.com/w...rsion-limo.jpg |
Nothing worse than when you go to a wedding and everything goes downhill afterwards.

Were the two bystanders killed by a flying drunk guy launched from the sunroof?
|
Trying to wrap my head around this (not literally like the passengers, however)
it seems like an incredible amount of puzzle pieces had to fall into place for everyone to die. I wonder what the odds are? |

Where I live we also have those limos, usually for young girls' birthdays: they come in pink or white, and yes, all the passengers wave and shout from the sunroof as it sails past the restaurants on the main drag... quite fun really. |
