I meant horrible in terms of the lack of objectivity. The guy had been falsely accused of something, was then forced to live two and a half years without the internet and had to go through years of turmoil because - essentially - he disagreed with some people on Twitter.

What's annoying me right now is how weird the vibe is on MB. Every time I've posted something that doesn't quite sit perfectly in line with the commonly held beliefs I'm looked at as some kind of crazy person.

And you should know that the freedom of speech is meant to protect the people that do not go with the status quo.

Just because something is negative doesn't mean we shouldn't look at the issue as well as its byproducts. Things never change if we bury our heads in the sand. This board is very slanted and if you don't share in the popular opinion you get flamed.Straight up.Some of us just deal with it better. Did you ever actually watch any of the videos he posted? A while back he posted some by a guy called "DrRandomercam", and I genuinely thought Goof was being ironic, because whatever legitimate points the guy made, there was just this conservative talk radio show-like hostility toward women in general that kind of beat you over the head. I found it impossible that Goofle might not notice this.

I've never seen any other reason to think Goofle was a misogynist before all of the MRA stuff he's been talking about recently, but his constant preoccupation with the subject leaves me scratching my head.

I'm not criticizing you for supporting men's rights. I've agreed with plenty of the stuff you and the people you've posted has said. I support things like reforming divorce and parental rights laws which choose women over men, but a lot of the people you're supporting, while they have points that I've agreed with, but he still comes across as someone with an axe to grind against women, and I'd definitely call him a misogynist. He's not so much wrong (at least all the time), but I think that his attitude towards women is based in seeing them as an enemy, just like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck's rhetoric against liberals.

I think it's refreshing to have Goofle's dissenting viewpoints here.
I myself grow more and more disillusioned with liberalism, at least with some of its aspects.
Although Goof is at times too one-sided and the people he supports kinda douchy, I really enjoy the discussions that get started this way.
