But, from a sexual standpoint, I think you should be able to choose on who you want to have sex with, even if it is simulated. It's kind of a personal thing more than anything religious or political.

But, yes, exploiting any tragedy for political purpose is tacky at best and reprehensible at worst.

Most of the flak she got was from justifying it as a safety precaution and in turn perpetuating a lot of untrue things about the gay community by implying that they have different safety measures. These days, everyone does anal anyways so it's not like it's that big of a difference.
