Mass availability of guns means easy mass killing. It's not even going to be enough to screen people for mental illness. You need to remove guns from your society to the level of nations without gun stores.

Of course, this won't happen 'till Hell freezes over.

For that matter, it will be better for black communities as well if guns are outlawed. It's prevention of deadly and mass violence.

I totally agree. Frequent school/public/etc. shootings are an issue caused by more than one broken system.

Take the studen in this recent Florida shooting, for example. He'd been dismissed from school for misbehaving, but I wonder if any amount of care was given to him before the final straw. He might have shown all sorts of signs of being in need of care.

That high school down in Broward in Florida that got shot up, was my ex girlfriends high school. I checked up on her about it, she has siblings about that age. No harm though, apparently that side of her family relocated to Jacksonville a while back. But still, I feel bad for her. I'm sure that's ****ing with her head a little bit.

I'm old enough to remember when a lot of high schools in the U.S. had gun clubs for the students. Some even had shooting ranges on school grounds. My high school didn't have a shooting range but we had a gun club where you could shoot .22 caliber pistols & rifles and/or learn to shoot skeet at a local shooting range.

School shootings by students were very rare and I can't recall ever hearing of one back then that involved a mass shooting with multiple deaths of other students.

I’m not sure if lucem is pro or anti gun control but I think what he’s saying is we’re witnessing a manifestation of hate and human hatred is ultimately the most serious threat.
