Where have y'all gotten the absurd idea that the Bible says there were no dinosaurs??? To the contrary, the Bible makes a case for EVERY life form. Make no mistake ~ the only place that science contradicts the Bible about life is in the creation of man.

Okay, and back to where we were,

sort of...

Put the story in this link together with the rest of current events, and it's a birds-eye view into exactly why the media would be willing to "sell out":

Viacom earnings drop 37 percent; ad slump hurts | Reuters

ViaCom is in a spot of a situation ~ they owe more than they have, and are selling off their holdings. (Their holdings are the key to the point of this.) There's one list to start with ~ and don't forget to check the subsidiaries affiliations, also.

It's rather astounding to find that our news services are "for sale"...

It's only astounding if you're an idiot who doesn't understand that a news service is a business. Any business can lose money and can go up for sale. How is that any different from any other business?

Also, viacom's major stations are VH1 and MTV. Those aren't news services.

Wow, Jibber, didn't exactly read the article, did you?

ViaCom completely owns CBS ~ ALL of CBS, including the NEWS SERVICES.

The Bible suggests the world was created billions of years after the dinosaurs we're extinct, don't do this, just be honest.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.

Since i was speaking to the CONCEPT of our News Services being influenced by their advertisers, i'm sure you would think it pure idiocity. To the rest of us, it's a bit horrifying to think that the ethical code of standards for journalism is up for grabs, if one just has the money.

I think you meant something else. But yeh, please don't do this WendyCal. The Bible says God created the world in 7 days and leaves no room for evolution or dinosaurs.
