I don't understand why schools can't leave this sort of thing to Sunday schools in Churches. Religion has no place in an educational setting unless it's specifically related to the class (e.g. comparative religions or religious history but those sort of classes are more university level.)

When the Church gave up control of the school system there one condition was a mandatory 'daily act of worship'.
