You raise a great point.

While certainly the money raised will help with costs of running the government and providing for the people, there are two concerns.

1- It will not be done in a way that has "the peoples" best interest in mind with this specific law

2- In the US we are very jaded about what the governement does with our taxes. There is no doubt they do the minumum to keep up roads and other public services. They sure do find a way to take expensive trips to Hawai'i and fancy dinners, and helicopter rides, etc. This money won't go to keep music and arts in schools. It won't go to make my vehicle registration cheaper.

I recently incorporated a business in California. It was supposed to take one month, but took 2 1/2 monthes because California is broke, and the workers at the office that does that are on forced furloughs 3 fridays a month ( off work and no pay ) plusother people that have been let go.

They will say they need the money for this, tax marijuana, but it will still take 2 1/2 months.

Its the same old story here. Taxation without representation. I want to know who is running on the accountability party?
