Pssh, Those weren't zombies in RE4, it was a cult infecting people with parasites, and they didn't even eat people.

Well, I dunno, I still think they qualify as zombies. Zombies don't have to be undead or even flesh eaters. Remember 28 Days Later?

IMO those things that popped out of their neckholes when you shoot their heads off were really scary.

Or how about those crazy bitches with the chainsaws? Don't tell me that didn't make you sh*t yourself.

It sounded interesting so I looked it up. I found reports that a disease was starting to spread near the end of October. Then, maybe a week later, the health minister said that nearly 200,000 people had contracted the disease and thousands were in hospitals being treated. This article was from the first few days of November.

Ukraine Mystery Outbreak Sparks WHO Concern as Disease Spreads - Bloomberg.com

There was another article from November 5th about how the WHO was trying to play it off as just being H1N1, which it probably isn't. At this point, 500000 people were sick. Though I'm not sure about the validity of this article.

WHO Continues To Deceive: Assumes That Ukraine Plague Is H1N1 Swine Flu

The last article I found was from the Kyiv Post on a blog entry dated the 16th, and stated 1.25 million people were sick and had acute respiratory problems. And the disease it looks like might be something called H5N1.

H5N1: Ukraine succumbs to "Supari's disease"

My question is, what the **** is going on? That means over the course of maybe 3 weeks, well over 1 million people contracted a disease and I haven't even heard about it here in the US? Does anyone over in Europe know what's going on there? It appears any news dropped off after that last article, from what I can find... Seems kinda scary to me.
I`ve not heard anything about this and I`m based in the UK but will look it up as I`ve not seen the news for a couple of days as it looks serious. Problem is, nobody here in Western Europe really cares about the Ukraine. All we hear about is Afghanistan and more Afghanistan etc........

It`s the Uroboros virus released by Umbrella`s successor Tricell (That`s what Resident Evil 5 revealed) Perhaps they`re experimenting in the Ukraine now.

Still, 300 dead among 1,500,000 infected? Doesn't seem like much to worry about.

I havent heard a thing about this until now, just shows the power the media has over the masses over here in terms of choosing what they want the public to know. With all the panic surrounding Swine Flu they probably didnt want to exacerbate the situation further. Would of been nice to be aware of this though, i think it's a basic human right to know of potential dangers to your safety. Whether or not this i have no clue, as a i said, i dont really know anything about this.

Like you I haven`t seen anything about it on the TV and neither does anybody I know, know anything about it. All types of stuff about it on the web though, latest figures show some 1.700.000 possibly infected! I`ve just seen the news here and as always I got my daily update from Helmand province Instead of something useful or something that could really affect me.
