Do you disregard things written in the old testament like some Christians do or what? Or do you not consider the bible to be the exact word of god?

This isn't about me, I am merely asking why 90's Music Kid says oh I'm fine with homosexuality, but then won't accept homosexuals marrying? I mean where's the distinction?

Then why don't you think others who arn't you, be homosexual and marry?

I'm not attacking you or your beliefs but I am curious to know how you view homosexuality and how you feel that connects with your Christian faith.

You're a Lady Gaga fan so I'm safely assuming you have no issue with homoeroticism.

truthfully homosexuality doesn't bother me unless some guy's coming on to me (which unfortunately has happened before)

i think they should be allowed to marry, marriage is a religious institution so the government should have no control over whether or not they can get married

so... if the government should have no control over the religion doesn't that mean that the religion can use its homophobic scriptures to deny homosexuals the opportunity to be married? wait a minute...

i mean, why do think there are so many rallies and protests and votes and activism?

also :yikes: at the last 15 pages of :banghead:

I dont have a problem with homosexuality, and have a couple of g*y friends with whom I discuss this a lot. I think that if they want to get married and love eachother, public opinion and the bible shouldnt stand before that. How is it anybody elses problem if someone is ***? How does it affect you if your against it? Mind your own f*cking business.

I'm a Catholic but only because I was born as one. I'm really not interrested in the religion, so what the bible says is right may not agree to me. In this case I think its completely wrong. Homosexual or not, theyre still human. Its still a person. Why should an old books opinion result in no legal binding marriage over love?

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-29-2010 04:20 PM

Actually it does affect you because if they're properly officially married in the eyes of the law they'll be getting tax breaks as a married couple. :D

I reckon most governments that won't allow gay marriage are more worried about a loss of tax revenue than anything written in some work of fiction 2000 odd years ago.

*This may of may not be a serious point, people may take it however they like.

marriage exists in all religions not just Christianity you dopes, and Christianity is one of the only religion that truly cares if someone is gay
