**** yeah. Even if The Fall are a million times better it’s still an incredible thing to be one millionth as good as The Fall.

I would consider myself as having good taste, but 'good taste' is generally meant to describe listening to really elusive and/or eclectic ****, which I believe I do. I also like a lot of garbage too and I think my personal definition of good taste comes from how I balance my appreciation for both 'bad' and 'good' music, and I think I do so quite well.

I don't know, I used to like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and all sorts of nu metal I couldn't give a **** about now. On the metal side the musical language they use simply isn't nuanced enough to evoke anything like what Slayer, Cryptopsy, Death, and yes Metallica, etc can. They're not even able to use their more limited means to meet the aggression of hardcore punk bands who use a more basic musical language to still devastating effect.

On a pop music level they fail in much the same way to meet the standards of countless artists from Madonna to the Beatles to the Replacements to Flaming Lips to muffukkin Ke$ha. Like nu metal bands were sacrificing both intensity and accessibility to meet somewhere in the middle and did so with incompetence so that you can't really appreciate either aspect.

And yet I used to like those bands. Now I just don't see how I ever cared and it really didn't take long after discovering older metal to feel that way. Something happened that wasn't simply losing something or elitism and it happened because I expanded my ear.

I never liked music as sorry as Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.

I like Slipknot, but nobody else you listed.

I think that we're easily impressed when we're younger because it's our first experiences with music, but the more we consume the more it takes to satisfy us because we've probably heard what artist like Korn were trying to do but better, that's my theory. So we grow away but nostalgia often times pulls us back.

Tens of thousands infected in measles outbreak in Madagascar

Quote:

We Americans, we have concocted all of these excuses and reasons to be complacent about measles. The people in Madagascar they have busy lives as well. But when they do have vaccine drives, most of them will come out, travel long distances, and sit in the hot sun for their turn," says Kightlinger, who rides a bicycle several miles each week to deliver vaccines to nearby villages.
A stubborn threat
Ironically, some of the complacency in the developed world, is because of the very success of the public health response.
The first effective measles vaccine was developed in the early 1960s. Before that, there were an estimated 2.6 million deaths a year from the virus, according to the World Health Organization. In 2017, about 110,000 people died from measles, mostly children younger than 5, the WHO said.
But lack of understanding about measles and the rise of anti-vaccination beliefs based on phony science and social-media fueled conspiracy theories has a put a ***** in the armor of otherwise well-protected countries such as the United States and France.
Nothing less than 100% (unless medically exempt) vaccinated is acceptable

BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY

Hundreds rally to preserve right not to vaccinate children amid measles outbreak

It’s amazing something with so little potential for controversy, eliminating deadly diseases, has gotten to this point. The ****ing stupidity of these people. The CDC works so hard at this ****. They should haven’t to deal with this.

Frown doesn't think of it as a box, he thinks of it as a hollow cube that could be used to contain items or it could be used as a hat or a helmet or perhaps as a vehicle to help one traverse down a flight of stairs.

Boy spent 47 agonizing days in ICU with tetanus. Parents still refuse vaccines.

Sterilize anti-vaxxers, take the children from those, who already have them, hang those who spread the pseudoscience on the internet.

(CNN) Measles has killed more than 6,000 people in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the World Health Organization has said.

In a statement Tuesday, the organization called on international partners and agencies to increase resources to fight what it called the "world's worst measles epidemic."

Around 310,000 suspected measles cases have been reported in the DRC since last year

I give Seattle C+ on this effort. While they had the kids there they should’ve vaccinated them. But still way better than expected. I figured they’d completely fold.
