Abso-****ing-lutely. I grew up in a racist family who imbued me with crazy racist **** I'll never be able to get out of my head. That **** is embedded in me and no matter how much the only real friend I have in this life and value is black I'll always have nonsense racist bull**** ringing in my head but I also recognize this and try to shoot it in the head whenever I recognize it. And I absolutely try to see what that **** is when it rears its head and stop it from making me think political beliefs that I believe are regressive.

There is an absolute difference between active belief and intellectual belief and the former can influence the latter if you don't look at yourself and try to be better. I think you've stopped trying to be better but my best friend for the last decade is a [removed] and he means more to me than any of you and most any of my family and we like to play Halo and **** so **** white people.

At my present job and my past teaching jobs 90% of the people who extended kindness to me were black and 100% of the people who ****ed me over were white.
