It would say yes, to a lesser or greater extent depending on the drug, they create mental states that are different from what a person normally experiences. I've certainly never been in a mood without drugs that is anything like the mushroom experience for example.

In general, the legality (or lack there of) of something should not be your motivation for doing it. If drugs were legalized, I wouldn't say that I would be more tempted to do them, just more likely to. The temptation exists regardless.

I tried it in my dreams once, and I actually experienced the high (or at least what my dream imagined what it would be like). Maybe you should dream up a line...

I'm very curious to hear if what I experienced in my dream is similar to what you experience in real life.

I have to tell you, despite it's reputation, coke is a really unexciting drug. It basically feels like chugging two or three cans of Red Bull. That's it. It does nothing spectacular except give you the ability to stay up all night and the inability to stop talking.

Can't say I understand this. There's a reason why people get intoxicated, obviously because it makes things...better. I don't see why people wouldn't be curious to experience such an enhanced state of being. Other than fear of having a bad experience. Which I can dig, and is why I'm still reluctant to try the more "serious" and volatile drugs. But there are plenty of full-proof, lighter drugs which can still be a lot of fun.

Really? Awww that's a let down. I hate not being able to sleep so that's why I would never take drugs like BZP or speed.

Oh, and one more thing it does: if you're drunk, it makes you feel sober.
