I've never tried it but it's supposed to be pretty safe if you don't do anything stupid like drive.

It depends entirely on the person. There was a massacre in my town in the 70s when somebody slipped it into a man's drink at the pub. He said he was going hunting, then went out and murdered seven people with a shotgun. It sounds like an urban legend, but it's well documented in the town's history, and I even know some of the family members of the man who did it.
