I don't know if you really do, with all that goes into the egg selling process. You guys just get to shoot a load into a sample jar and be on your way, so long as you're STD free and such.

Women can't drink, smoke, have caffeine or any other harmful substances, and take hormones that generally make them sick for 30 days. They then have to go through great discomfort at the end of this period and have their egg harvested.

Also, it's not as simple as just goint in and getting started; you get placed on a really long wait list.

FYI: I've been on a wait list for over a year.

Also - I would not be a surrogate for just anyone. If someone near and dear to me really needed one, I'd consider it. I'd probably do it. For a stranger + money, no way. I'm not getting stretch marks because of someone else's kid.
