I've read some of the Bible, but really only because I was curious why Christians go on about how great the stories are.

You're Jewish. You guys can claim the part of the Bible where people fought cool battles and stuff.

Old Testament stories CAN be interesting. However, the story of Jesus blows. Not even Martin Scorsese could make a good film out of it.

Whatever. Even if you don't believe in the Bible religiously it's still great literature all things considered.

It is, no doubt about it. I just found it boring.

Only a few points are. Apart from Revelations, the New Testament is terribly dull.

Even then, the Bible has some insane biases towards it's advantage. It's by far one of the most drab mythologies, and it's very poorly written. There are good stories in there, but it's a lunky, unnecessarily unbalanced writing style which tends to lead to sections being too long, or too short.

The Old Testament (Torah) is not a bad read though. There's only 5 books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy - the Five Books of Moses.

The dead "rising from their graves"? George A. Romero in Jerusalem. Good.

PS: That of Potiphar is a decent Biblical story. An interesting bizarre love triangle.
