Ah, man, I remember my unruly youth. Drinking beer behind the football field. Skipping school with my friends. Playing pranks. Forcibly circumcising random strangers in the street. You know, all the usual stuff unruly young people do.

I have no problem with the practice itself.

I just don't think people should be able to do it to a newborn child who has no say in the matter.

Skipping school? I really hope you're just joking.

I'm astounded that 11 people have voted for new born circumcision. It just defies logic. If there is no Medical benefit in doing to then why on earth would you be for it. I just can't how there can be modernized countries like the U.S in which this is typically carried out. To what benefit????

I'm inclined to agree with you, but from what I understand there are actually some benefits to it. I don't personally think they're worth it, but I guess I can understand how someone might feel otherwise.

For me it's like watching people dismiss evolution in favor of creationism. You just can't make any sense of any of it.

eh it's just more contrived american aesthetic bullshit really. We can't differentiate between superficial eye pleasing and actual health needs.

It's why we are convinced our teeth need to be sparkling white when bone is naturally yellow. Why low-income parent's have to stress to get their kids braces if they have any slight imperfection. All of this just leads to subsequent stress which leads to poorer health in the long term.

I see that the poll is closed, but just thought that I would comment. I chose NOT to have my son circumcised at birth. If he wants to do it when he is older, then I have no problem, as it is HIS body and HIS decision. Choosing for him just seemed wrong.

Yea, I'm glad my folks didn't chop a part of my d*ck off. I can probably speak for everyone who hasn't had part of their d*ck cut off in saying that we appreciate it.

Having had part of my dick chopped off, I guess I don't really know/care if I'm missing out on anything.

I probably won't chop part of my son's dick off, if I am to ever have one. Like oojay said, it should be his decision.
