As far as I'm concerned, I have seen for myself. I've received religious teachings in school when I was a kid, I've heard lots of bible stories, I was told that bad boys go to hell and good boys go to heaven .. though fortunately never from my parents.
So I feel like I have seen and in the end, I was not convinced. If you mean by "seeing" that I should construct a fantasy world for my mind to live in, then it's true that it's not something the mainstream will do for you (at least not here) and I'm not going to do that because I want my beliefs to reflect reality.
