Mit Romney kind of reminds me of Alex Shrub.

I thought Ron Paul was quite compelling, but some of the stuff he wants to do is pretty damn drastic. I do LOVE his foreign policy though. It'd be great to just mind our own business. I really don't know at this point who I would vote for.

Ron Paul would be preferable to the other Republican candidates. But I wouldn't vote for him because he's only two degrees of separation from the mouthbreather shown putting his foot on this woman's head:

Ron Paul --> Rand Paul (his son) --> 'libertarian' supporter

Currently, I am supporting Newt Gingrich, his wealth of knowledge and intelligence is amazing and I believe that is why he attracts new voters. I support him mainly because of the fact that he is a Reaganite, seeing as I am a Reagan Conservative as well. I unfortunately think that Newt will not win though. My next choice would be Ron Paul, I believe in his message about freedom and liberty, and I also believe the media and most people have a common misconception about his foreign policy. When in actuality he plans to make our military five times the size of China's. I find Romney to be a moderate who in all actuality is actually a RINO(Republican In Name Only). But I am pretty sure that he will be the guy to win the Republican nomination. Whoever it is running against Obama I will vote for them hands down. We can't take another term of O'clueless.. but that's a whole different matter to discuss.

Personally, I'd vote Know-Nothing before I'd vote republican, and I'm Irish and German.

Jon Huntsman is incredibly smart, fair, unassuming and a decent person. Which of course means he won't get very far in this race.

I was actually going to say the same thing about Huntsman. Watching him on Meet the Press yesterday especially, I was wondering why the most well-spoken and intelligent candidate was the one getting the least pull with the party voters.

I don't know why they should be so opposed to someone who's actually able to articulate without getting into near shouting matches (I'm looking at you, Romney and Gingrich) or stammering through their responses (I'm looking at you, Paul) or just being a jackass who shot a coyote on his morning jog (Perry). Or just Rick Santorum. I think that Huntsman is worth a hundred of him.

I agree that he seems to be the best of the bunch when it comes to the republicans. Not that the bar is particularly high.

As a liberal Democrat, I am mostly just amazed and fascinated that the Republican candidates can have world views and goals that are so often completely the opposite of mine. It's like we don't even come from the same planet!

For example, I am amazed at how diametrically opposed my views are from those of Rick Perry, who appears in this TV ad to want the U.S. to be a Christian theocracy in which schools are extensions of churches (more so than they already are), and people in same-sex relationships are treated as atrocities too horrible to be recognized as deserving of equal rights:

Hmm...the woman is a supporter of MoveOn.org. I have been on that organization's mailing list for several years. Her head could have been mine.

It's so sweet and sad how she says, "These [Rand Paul] supporters weren't very nice to me." (Great understatement.) She sounds so kind and level-headed, especially when her tempered words are juxtaposed with the stupidly violent, counter-productive actions of that baseball-cap-wearing, cretin-like man stomping on her head/neck.

Out of all of the Republicans, I like Ron Paul myself. I like his foreign policy and emphasis on individual liberty, and I certainly don't believe he's a racist. I feel as though he's a lot more genuine than Romney, Gingrich, and especially Santorum. I like John Huntsman as well, and it's a shame that he's been so largely ignored.

Oh I don't know. I think Santorum is pretty genuine. He's a genuine asshole.
