So, to bring this back to the original subject, I just read this interesting post on a blog, and I thought it was a pretty good piece about negative views of porn and whatnot.

Here's a study on porn and porn actresses in particular.

Check it out. It's actually quite interesting!

I am not sure if anything similar has been posted in this thread as of yet but let me share my experience with porn. I used to be a frequent viewer for a while. The strange part was the more I was with girls in my personal life the more I would also view porn. About 4-6 months ago I started having really bad problems with getting an erection or maintaining one when with a girl.

Now for those females reading this, you have no idea how terrible that feels for a man. Especially one who prides himself on nearly always being in control and confident in any situation. For the males reading who may have this problem and think it is an actual medical problem know this. 99.9% chance that it is nothing permanent or that you are "defective" in any way. The key is 2 different things.

1.
Just quit watching porn all together. This doesn't have to be forever, just until your purple helmed warrior is back on the field raring to win. It is not realistic and will make your brain therefore your Pleasure Pump respond unrealistically in real situations. How do you expect to get a boner while a girl is grinding with you or rubbing upon your Beaver Cleaver if the last time you got one was while watching some professional stud drill the living **** out of what is essentially a made up barbiedoll for the better part of an hour. Lets not forget how they were kissing one second and the next she was getting fingerbanged at warp 10. All this does not exactly help your mind get naturally turned on in a usual encounter. I mean think about it it is fun to watch but people do not **** that way every time, or even most of the time.

2. This part is just as important so pay attention. Quitting porn and essentially resetting your stimuli back to what they once were will take a long time. This can be shorted by simply doing excersizes that involve relaxing your body and mind. This is done by essentially learning to breath deeply and put yourself in the moment. Get comfortable and look upwards and breath very deeply for a few seconds and then attempt to exhale through your balls. Force the air/stress downwards into your lower body. Being turned on for man or woman is a state of mind that typically needs a relaxed brain to occur. Doing this before masturbating or even throughout the day will start teaching your body to calm down and relax. When you are mad/nervous/excited what happens to your face? It gets red with blood. Force it all out of your head and throughout your body and realize that you are truly calm. At this point attaining an erection should not be a problem. Dont expect instant results but work on it for a while and see what happens.

It has worked wonders for me and I feel much better not only sexually but every day everywhere. I use this excersize not to bust out erections throughout my day but to calm myself when I am stressed or nervous about something. I typically do not like talking about anything involving my sexual life on here but this is something someone tought me that greatly improved my life and I hope it can help someone elses with the same problem.

Personally, I don't see how porn would do that unless you were yanking it so much to porn that when a real piece came along you were just spent.
People are different, yea... but personally, I don't think my brain is wired to view porn as more erotic and sexually stimulating than an actual piece. Unless I was trying to hit some god-awful.

I am just speaking from my own personal experience. I was fine. I watched a fair amount of porn, and then I became not fine. Stopped the porn and again I am fine again.

I dont think everyone is affected the same way by it at all. Just like some of us can become drug addicts and others can't. Our brains react differently to stimuli. This is really only geared towards people that think their ED is medical and not a fixable thing. No need for a pill or somehting drastic.

I get that. I'm just wondering whether there's a correlation between the simple act of enjoying porn, or the excessive masturbating that usually occurs. To me, I would suspect that yanking my crank all the time would be a more reasonable factor rather than the aspect of what it is I'm watching while doing so.
So I just wonder whether porn itself is to blame, or excessive yanking is.

To be clear, you can yank excessively watching paint dry or watching porn. The common denominator is apparent. I'm just wondering whether that common denominator is the reason for your troubles, or the images leading up to it.

Look, common or not, denominators are a turn on, there's no way around it.
