My predictions for the next four years (has little to do with Obama winning, these were also my predictions in case Romney won)

1. Israel attacks Iran or vice versa. This may happen within the year. America is involved in some way, and bad things happen.

2. Our economy will collapse in January, probably late January. Mass chaos in the streets, and bad things happen.

3. This winter will cause massive ice storms across the country, leading to... bad things. That will happen (seeing a pattern here?).

4. Huge drought next year worldwide that causes death and disaster, followed by bigger hurricanes and bigger earthquakes than we have ever known. Bad things happen.

5. POSSIBLE civil war. I know enough crazy, angry people personally that I know the chances of an actual uprising are higher than many believe.

Call me a cynic, but I prefer to call myself a realist. I may end up being wrong, and if so, awesome. If not, you heard it here first.

People here are predicting the worlds coming to an end soon with Obama back in office. lol. Funny because before he won the "Lord" was in control of this election and wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. Now its a sign of a prophesy running its course, soon to be followed by the second coming of Christ, and thus leaving the Obama voters behind for the tribulation. Dang...and I was hoping we would last long enough to at least see the Cowboys win one more Super Bowl.

I honestly hate being rough on you but..

Lots of Christians, Jews, and Muslims believe this because they believe in a Holy Land over there. They've done so for many decades because of their religions. This has also been a real potential political reality for a long, long time. It's very possible still, I agree.

I'm not sure where you're getting this. The Mayans? Science? Church? Either way, yes, it's possible. Just like every other day/month/year/decade.

Why do you predict this exactly? And, no, I don't see an immediate pattern.

Ever known by humans perhaps but the crust of the Earth has seen far more than any of us can imagine. It doesn't care. Earth does not see this as a bad thing.

I believe that you know crazy people but this fear is not new. Civil War in the US has been a-brewin for soo long. You should have seen how concerned citizens felt after the 2004 elections, let alone the previous 150 years. Some people are always going nuts about another US civil war. Also, civil war is already happening all over the world.

Honestly I can't call you a cynic or a realist. Both positions would require a lot more evidence than you've given us. I like you a lot but I feel that your dogma is showing.

Basically just various economic theories I've heard in recent times. I'm no economist, I'm just going by what I hear. Whether or not it is true remains to be seen, but I believe it is. Our economy is in the tank.

This is mostly just based on weather patterns here in KY. It's getting really cold, really fast. We're basically skipping fall and heading directly into winter. I have absolutely no scientific evidence for this, it's just a gut feeling. Also, for whatever it's worth, I was seeing birds migrating south while we were still in the dead heat of summer... that makes absolutely no sense to me, and it makes me think that winter is coming, as the Starks like to say.

Eh. If you knew a lot of crazy "the south will rise again" people and you saw all the political talk going on, you might start thinking a civil war was coming, too. And yes, I know there are civil wars all over the world, I'm not an idiot. I keep up with the goings-on in the world.

Maybe I'm just a pessimist and assume the worst at all times. I don't know. Don't particularly care, either. I think what I think, and if none of it happens, great. If it does... I'll try my best to survive.

Anyway, dogma or not, I'm just throwing my worthless opinion out there. I've got to do more than lurk at some point, I figured now would be a good time to wander over to a thread to post.

Hey now, I never said your opinion is worthless (it is nice to see you acknowledge that your thoughts are opined, though).
If/when we are all out there just surviving with whatever defenses and offenses that we can muster, then I hope to meet and team up with you on the desolate path of survivors. Bring all the water, food, knives, bludgeons, and guns that you can get your hands on. I'll do the same.
