I understand but I am speaking about the country Puerto Rico itself. It can't be a US state because most (like 93 percent) don't know one English word. I mean I don't mind this becoming a 51st state but as I said, many Americans especially Right wing ones will be upset.

Regarding the flag, perhaps they could just squeeze an extra star in somewhere there's space?

Why do nearly all Americans I meet give me 200 years of family history always claim to be from a country they've never visited anyway?
I can't think of any other nation that does that. It's like you're ashamed of it.

I'm English, Dutch, German and Native American supposedly. In the end i'm just some white anglo saxon with a jaded view on life. None of this other stuff is important. I've been to England and France. I don't consider myself French though.

Well, I'm pretty sure that my family only came to America about a hundred or so years ago. I definitely don't consider myself Irish by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm still only a few generations removed, so any Irish cultural influences aren't gonna be completely gone.
